Recipe examples

Each example is added to your network with one button; parameters become a form in the dashboard.

Folder to AV1

command

Each file is its own task. The result keeps the source name and metadata.

split: files
params:
  crf: {default: 25}
run:
  - ffmpeg -i {in} -c:v libsvtav1 -preset 8
    -crf {crf} -c:a copy -map_metadata 0 {out}
output: {ext: mp4}

Shrink for phones, 720p

command

Scale down to 720 lines and compress harder for watching on the go.

split: files
run:
  - ffmpeg -i {in} -vf scale=-2:720
    -c:v libsvtav1 -preset 8 -crf 32
    -c:a aac -b:a 128k {out}
output: {ext: mp4}

Only what is not AV1 yet

python

The script checks codec and height, skips finished files and picks quality.

from dc import probe, run, skip, IN, OUT

v = probe(IN).video
if v.codec == "av1":
    skip("already AV1")
crf = 25 if v.height <= 1080 else 29
run("ffmpeg", "-i", IN, "-c:v", "libsvtav1",
    "-crf", crf, "-c:a", "copy", OUT)
